Design concept
A boutique hospitality brand was developing a micro hotel experience focused on mindfulness, solitude and slow living. Our part was one standalone hut style suite from a small collection of retreat villas set in a remote natural landscape.
Stillness at Dusk was conceived as a serene refuge, a space where guests disconnect from excess and reconnect with nature, space and self. The design follows the wabi sabi ethos of understated elegance, natural aging and the quiet beauty of imperfection.
Every surface, object and detail was chosen to evoke calm, simplicity and presence. The circular plan means no corner of the suite ever feels like a corridor.
Scope of work
- Concept development for the retreat suite
- Full interior design and material specification
- Circular space planning and furniture layout
- Mood boards and finish direction

Outcome
Stillness at Dusk offers guests an introspective luxury, one rooted in silence, natural rhythm and impermanence. It is not just a place to stay but a feeling to inhabit. The project reflects our ability to craft emotionally resonant spaces that elevate minimalism into an art form, where hospitality meets healing and design whispers instead of shouts.
